Imaginisce - Teacher Appreciation :)

It's Teacher Appreciation Week at Imaginisce so we're sharing projects we created for our wonderful teachers. I work for our school district and every day I see the tremendous effort and patience being a teacher requires. They really do need our appreciation and thanks as often as possible.

I decided to create this note card set for a teacher friend. A sweet little box with four adorable cards inside and the box is reusable, too! :)

The card design is simple, but the bright colors and patterned papers are really what makes these so cute! I really love this Imaginisce "Geek is Chic" collection... definitely one of my top faves :)

I hope you'll visit Imaginisce during our Teacher Apprectiation Week. There are so many super cute projects to be shared. Plus, there's something really big and special coming up for Facebook Imaginisce! Be sure to like their Facebook page and don't miss out on all the fun! :)

Thanks for visiting!

Imaginisce - Hello Cupcake!

Hello Cupcake is the newest Imaginisce collection and this week there's a release party at the Imaginisce blog. :) The design team has created some gorgeous projects! Please do take some time to visit, you're sure to be inspired. :)

I loved playing with Hello Cupcake. You all know that I love color and this line is full of it! Perfect for any birthday or celebration project :)

This layout features my nephew, Drake during his 1st birthday. This poor baby had no clue what the big party fuss was all about and we could rarely get a smile from him. Such a cute baby :)

I also created this gift box and card set pairing up Hello Cupcake with kraft cardstock. I love the bright colors next to the natural kraft :)

Layouts with Boys Rule

I have a couple layouts to share with you today :)

As soon as I saw Bo Bunny's "On the Go" collection, I knew it was a must have.. and I was so excited to receive it as part of May's scrapbooking kit at Boys Rule. This kit is so colorful and fun, perfect for any little boy.. big boys, too! Here is a layout I created using these great papers and embellies..

This was so fun to make.. it features my toddler nephew who is "always on the go"! At first, I wanted to title this page 'always on green' lol but I didn't have enough room. Oh well, I think it turned out just great anyway :) I also created a video if you'd like to see how this page came together - you can find it here.

Also, I noticed recently that I forgot to add this next layout to my blog last month. It was created with the Boys Rule April kit using the Simple Stories "Awesome" collection and the April 13th sketch.

This is my son and nephew at one of our local state parks. There's an old house near the park with the windows and doors boarded and it just seemed to me like a house from "the hood" lol so this title came to me quickly ;) This page is also on video here if you'd like to check it out :)

Thanks for visiting me today!

PADC 4-9

Continuing on with the Photo-a-Day challenge. Here are my recent shots..

May 4th - Black and White
Surprisingly I had a hard time finding something B&W to photograph. It was late in the evening and I had almost forgotten to capture my photo for the day. My friend's daughter helped me out by offering me one of her shirts. It's a bad photo, captured quickly with my phone... but it works to remain in the challenge.

May 5th - Where I went
My very first time visiting an Archiver's! I was so happy :)

May 6th - Someone I talked to
As I was walking into Walmart, my sister Jessica was walking out :)

My phone camera seems to have a blueish tint... hmmm.. I need to try and fix that.

May 7th - Drink
Jimmy John's Turkey Tom sub and a coke for lunch.. Yum!

May 8th - 8:00 AM or PM
At 8:00am I was changing Braydon's insulin pump reservoir while he was eating breakfast.

May 9th - Sunglasses
I took this opportunity to take several pictures of my son in his new shades. I love how the photos turned out and this is one of my faves. He's growing so fast!

Thanks for letting me share with you :)

Imaginisce & Canvas Corp Blog Hop - decorative pillow

This week Canvas Corp is teaming up with Imaginisce for a blog hop - fun fun fun!! The projects created by the design teams are so beautiful and so creative, you'll love them! And you'll also love the hop prizes.. huge collections of goodies to win at both blogs! Don't miss out on your chance :) See the Imaginisce blog for all the details :)

For my project using Imaginisce and Canvas Corp, I created this decorative pillow..

Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-top 2.0 tool, i-top punch, petal roller, Fabric Roly Rosies, iron bling motif, i-rock mini iron); Canvas Corp (canvas pages, canvas minis, canvas flower, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists); Misc: Floss, thread, red jewels

When I noticed that the Canvas Corp 12x12 fabricpage was actually 2 big pieces of canvas sewn together, I knew right away that I wanted to make a pillow :) I added pillow fluff inside the two layers, then I added that gorgeous canvas flower. The center of the flower is an extra large brad daddy and piece of glimmer misted canvas put together using my i-top. I also added Imaginisce fabric roly rosies, iron-on bling, and canvas leaves also spritzed with glimmer mist.

This pillow pairs up so nicely with my red lap blanket and it really makes a nice addition to my livingroom. :)

Check out Imaginisce and Canvas Corp everyday this week for beautiful inspirational projects and also for your chance to win awesome prizes! Don't miss it :)

PADC 1-3

So I was super inspired by Chantelle's Photo-A-Day Challenge at Fat Mum Slim's, this gal is so very creative- love her! I thought it would be great fun to host a PADC with my scrapbooking group, scrappin-n-chattin. We began the challenge on May 1st and will end it on the 30th. I thought I'd also share my daily photos here as well just for fun :)

I'll post 3-6 days at a time throughout the month so I'm not overloading my blog daily lol. Here are the first 3 days so far.

May 1st - The weather
I downloaded the ever popular Instagram app and tried it out for the first time here. I chose a filter that was a bit too dark, but I still love the photo. It was a cloudy day.

May 2nd - You
Ok, I'm kinda embarrassed to post this one here.. it was suppose to be a funny pic for just my close friends at scrappin-n-chattin.. but what the hey, right!? My "rock on" is lame though.. my fingers are suppose to be spread out more. Oh well, I guess I'm not as cool as I think I am LOL ;)

May 3rd - Something that makes you happy
My old beaten up car was being serviced and I was given a cadillac for a loaner - Woohoo! You can bet I was happy to be driving this baby for a couple days! :)

Thanks for letting me share with you! My scrappy friends and I are really enjoying this challenge - thanks so much for the inspiration, Chantelle!!

May Flowers! TPV

 Happy May!!

There's a new challenge at The Paper Variety ! :)

I love finding new ways to make paper flowers! For my project, I created this bouquet of blooms using Echo Park "Dots & Stripes" 6x6 pads.

These flowers were really fun to make. All it took was some simple folding and then I glued the pieces together. I think they're super cute! :)

TPV has a great prize for the randomly chosen winner...
For joining the challenge, you could win...

I hope you'll find some time to join us!

Have a great day!

Boys Rule kit projects :)

Wow, it's been a while since I posted. Well that will change soon, I have several projects to share in the next week or two :)

Today I'd like to share a couple projects with you that I created with the Boys Rule April kit. First up is my take on the April 27th sketch challenge.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Abby!? Are you blind? That doesn't look like the sketch!" lol Well I promise you that it actually started out mostly following the sketch. But throughout the creative process, it kinda took on a life of it's own lol. I rotated the photo, instead of big round matting circles I used sprockets, the title was lowered and the journaling strips we raised. I had hoped the end result would still look similar to the sketch, it does a lil bit.. in a few places lol. Anyway! I love how this page turned out and my son is such a cutie-patootie in this photo.. if I do say so lol. You can view my YouTube video here on how it all came together. I have other Boys Rule video projects on my channel also, if you'd like to browse.

Next up is this picture frame I created for my son's photos.

I bought a cheap collage photo frame at Dollar Tree, you can find so many crafty bargains there! I covered the frame with SS "Awesome" paper, sanded and distressed it, added a few other papers in the smaller frames, adhered a bunch of embellies and tucked in my son's photos. And wahla! Nice inexpensive project! This frame looks awesome on my bookcase, btw. :)

That's all from me this month with the April kit.. I am sooooo looking forward to creating with the May kit! I hope you were able to purchase a May kit for yourself! :)

Have a great Monday! :)
